Below you can see some hand-painted family trees and pedigrees from our repertoire. The amount of work and thus also the fee is mainly based on the number of name plaques and of course the desired drawing technique. The format is usually based on the size of the tree.

Left/above: This pencil drawing shows a medium-sized family tree with approx. 110 people in the format 70x100cm.

Right/Below: Watercolor of a pedigree with approx. 80 people on a format of 60x90cm with a view of a city as an illustration.

1.) Large family trees & pedigrees

Family trees and pedigree charts with more than 100 name charts are associated with an enormous amount of work and are among the major projects. A lead time of at least two months should be planned for this. A significantly faster realization is only possible in a few exceptional cases – so please always state the desired date when making your inquiry. Such drawings and paintings require paper from the format DIN A1 (59.4 x 84.0 cm) or cut special formats.

Left/Above: This watercolor painting shows a medium family tree with about 70 people in the format 50x70cm.

Right/Below: Watercolor painting of a family tree with approx. 90 people on 60x90cm with a landscape view as an illustration.

2.) Medium hand painted family trees & pedigree charts

A medium-sized project contains around 40 to 70 name tags. A wide range of pedigrees can still consist of just a few generations. A classic family tree of this magnitude usually already looks back on a long family history. Above a certain size/width, it makes more sense to work in landscape format. A classic pedigree naturally expands faster than a family tree, since the number of people ideally doubles from generation to generation if the research is successful. Depending on the project, the time required is around one month. Shorter-term realizations may be possible depending on the order situation after consultation with the artist.

Right/Below: Watercolor painting of a family tree with approx. 40 people on 50x70cm with the coat of arms of Saxony as an illustration.

Right/Below: Here you can see a watercolor painting of a family tree with approx. 55 people on 42.0×59.4cm (DIN A2) with church and coat of arms as illustrations.

3.) Small family trees & pedigree charts

Inquiries about simple family trees and pedigrees with three to four generations are common. Such trees often contain 20-40 name plaques. These works are therefore among the small projects. Small hand-painted family trees and pedigree charts can easily be realized on DIN A2 size drawing paper. Conversion to DIN A3 is also possible in some cases. A short-term production (up to two weeks) can be quite realistic.

Left/above: This pencil drawing shows a small tree with around 25 people on DIN A3 format (29.7 x 42.0 cm).

Right/Below: Pencil drawing of a family line with approx. 30 people on DIN A3 (29.7 x 42.0 cm) in a special way as a single branch.
